Michael Balabanov

Account Director, AOL

As Account Director, Mike and his team are in charge of handling all political and advocacy advertising for AOL across the United States. In this role, he works with agencies, candidates and advocacy organizations to help them craft media plans and use ONE by AOL to reach their goals. Previously, he served as a Strategic Account Manager where he worked on the majority of the 2012 political campaigns for the organization.

Prior to joining AOL in 2012, Mike spent time at The Washington Post, serving as Manager of the Account Management team. Here, he lead a team of account managers that implemented and provided client services for brands and marketers running digital advertising campaigns on the publication’s online properties.

Mike received his B.A. in Economics at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He currently works out of AOL’s Washington DC office, and lives with his Fiancee and their dog, Olive.
