YouTube throws house party for music streaming launch

YouTube is hosting a four-day house party at 180 The Strand celebrating British music and culture, following the UK launch of its streaming platform.

"YouTube Music: in residence" will include 15 gigs and fireside chats from some of the biggest names in music and culture including Annie Mac and Paul Oakenfold.

Across the four days, visitors can enjoy a series of immersive experiences, from the re-imagining of an iconic London nightclub through to a trip to a pub created in partnership with Camden’s Dublin Castle. A pop-up sneaker store and vinyl shop will also be on site.

The experience has been designed in collaboration with SBTV, Sony Music, Warner Music, Universal Music UK, DAZED and Pitchblack Playback and will run from Thursday 28 June to Sunday 1 July.
