Specsavers, which has earned renown within the industry for creating a successful advertising campaign in-house, has hired Proximity London as its CRM agency after a five-month competitive pitch. Proximity won the account after a final shoot-out against OgilvyOne. This is the first time that Specsavers has hired a CRM agency to help with strategy and creative work.

As revealed by Campaign yesterday, Britain Stronger in Europe has appointed M&C Saatchi to handle advertising for the official Remain campaign ahead of next month's European Union referendum. Read more about this story.

Unibet Group has hired Karmarama as its lead international creative agency. The account was previously held by DDB International, which re-pitched for the business. KBS Albion used to make Unibet’s UK ads but parted ways with the brand after completing its brief in 2015. Karmarama’s first job is to create a campaign – to run in the UK, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and Australia – ahead of the UEFA European Championships in the summer.

VCCP has landed a full-service brief from Uber rival Karhoo, following the agency's push into media last year. Read more on this story.

Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R's remit for VisitBritain has been expanded after it was appointed to launch a national "staycation" campaign for VisitEngland, due to break later this month. 

The BBC has appointed Somethin' Else to develop social media content for BBC Radio 1, BBC 1xtra, BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music. Read more on this story.

Avios, the travel rewards business, has appointed Soul as a below-the-line agency partner and sole CRM agency after a competitive pitch. The account was previously held by MBA.

Standard Life Investments, the leading asset manager and investment solutions provider, has appointed WCRS to promote its sponsorship of the British & Irish Lions 2017 tour of New Zealand. Standard Life Investments is the principal partner and jersey sponsor of the Lions and creative work developed by WCRS will run globally across key financial centres including London, Hong Kong and in the USA.

Riviera Travel, the escorted tour and river cruise specialist, has appointed MBA for its social and PR activity with campaigns beginning immediately. There is no incumbent on the account.
