The 60-second film, created by McCann London, will run on all broadcasters of Wimbledon globally, including the BBC.
It traces the development of Wimbledon from its beginnings in 1877 to the hi-tech, performance driven game of today, using a range of animation styles that blend into each other, reflecting the evolution of the game.
It was created by James Crosby and Will Cottam, and directed by Smith & Foulkes through Nexus Studios.
James Ralley, head of marketing and commercial at the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, said: "This is a significant year for Wimbledon, not least because we are celebrating the 150-year anniversary of the All England Club.
"This beautifully crafted film depicts the tireless pursuit of greatness Wimbledon represents, not just for our players and fans but as a global event."
