DIY retailer Wickes is creating digital 'paintings' of random scenarios tweeted under its #WickesPaintPortraits hashtag to draw attention to how creative customers can be with its paint.

The #WickesPaintPortraits campaign is bringing to life random scenario dreamt up by customers who fill in the gaps of "I’m______ while______ in ______ #WickesPaintPortraits".

For instance, one such portrait (pictured above) is of Marketing’s Shona Ghosh who tweeted darkly: "I’m escaping flesh-eating zombies while climbing in a post-apocalyptic UK".

The idea appears to be inspired by social media user Jim’ll Paint It, whose strapline is "You Name It. I’ll Paint it. On Paint. Wickes' portraits are produced by an in-house designer from the retailer's agency, Iris.

Creative from Wickes is designed to draw attention to its Buy One Get One Off promotion on Dulux and Wickes coloured emulsion without an overt sales message.
