WhatsApp's first international marketing campaign highlights the benefits of end-to-end encryption for ensuring users' privacy.
The BBDO work promotes the fact that WhatsApp users' messages are always private, thanks to the use of encryption technology. As well as the BBDO offices in San Francisco, Berlin and India, other creative agencies to have worked on the campaign were Creative X and Mindshare.
Having launched in the UK and Germany, the short films, directed by Courtney Hoffman and Lake Buckley, will be rolled out in France, Mexico, Indonesia, India and Brazil over the coming months. It launches across online video, digital, (D)OOH, audio, Facebook and Instagram.
