Weekender: Peroni at Somerset House, Benefit pop-up, Cocktails in the City

Events to watch out for this weekend include the launch of Peroni's six-month residency at Somerset House, Benefit's 'Bold is Beautiful' pop-up and Cocktails in the City.

Peroni's Somerset House residency

Italian beer brand Peroni is partnering with Somerset House to stage a six-month takeover of the venue's terrace. The partnership between the brand and venue is designed to celebrate the launch of Peroni Ambra, a new venture from the brand that combines Peroni and the sharpness of Italian Chinotto. Guests will be able to attend the terrace from 1 April, which will see Somerset House's open-air, riverside space transformed into an immersive Italian experience. Visitors will discover the authentic tastes and rare ingredients of Italy through a series of experiences, while enjoying exclusive Peroni Ambra-infused cocktails created by master of mixology Simone Caporale.

Benefit's 'Bold is Beautiful' pop-up

Cosmetics brand Benefit is reviving its annual philanthropy initiative - the Bold Is Beautiful Project - with a pink-themed pop-up shop selling all things pink. The #RaiseABrow pop-up will launch on 31 March in Covent Garden, before it goes on to tour three other cities across the UK in April, and will raise funds for the UK charities Refuge and Look Good Feel Better. The pop-up will sell everything from clothes to candles, furniture to fragrance, books, bags and blooms, all donated from celebrities, brands, and vloggers. Guests will also be able to receive brow treatments from a team of expert 'benebabes', who will be on site at the event. Agency Devries Slam is implementing the campaign. 

Cocktails in the City

The three-day cocktail celebration is returning to London this weekend, and will invite guests to test out 28 bars that have been put together in pop-up form under one roof. A range of drinks brands will be sponsoring the event, including liqueur brand Tia Maria, which will be joining forces with cocktail shop Chapter 72 to bring the Iced Popcorn Frappe to Cocktails in the City for the first time. Attendees will also have a chance to sign up for masterclasses with the Tia Maria + Coffee Project Academy to learn how to become a coffee cocktail pro. Other featured brands at the event include Bols Genever, Campari, Glenfiddich IPA, Jim Beam and Monkey Shoulder.
