The UN says dirty water kills more people than wars and other violence. One organization doing something about this and WATERisLife, which partnered with Deutsch NY to raise awareness of the issue.
The campaign employs the talents of photographer Neil DaCosta. Through his lens we see families who have never had a family portrait taken — and most likely never will.
The images are intended to put human faces on the problem of unclean water.
Print ads will run in Bloomberg Businessweek, The Economist and Forbes, among others. A companion website features the portraits and information about the organization.
