Virgo Heath to create sensual Valentine's light show for Durex

Prepare to get amorous on the South Bank

Agency Virgo Health has been tasked by Durex to create a light and dance show on 13 February to mark Valentine's Day and the launch of the brand's new range of pleasure gels.

The international condom manufacturer will stage the stunt on the observation point near the Oxo Tower, on London's South Bank. It will broadcast the sounds of moaning as almost 100 skyscraper-height search lights 'dance' to iconic love songs.

Lighting designer Durham Marenghi, who has worked on the Queen’s Jubilee and the London 2012 Olympic ceremonies, will be working with Durex and Virgo Health to create the show.

Pink and purple beams will move independently to the voices of male and female singers to mimick the dual action of the Durex Embrace pleasure gels, coming together in a climatic finale.

Spectators drawn in by the stunt will also experience a flashmob of sensual dancers moving in time to the songs.

Couples will also be invited to interact with the event by sending in their messages of love via Twitter using the hashtag #DurexEmbrace. The tweets will be displayed in lights on the South Bank.
