In addition to adding the channel to its line-up, Virgin Media will offer a range of Cartoonito shows through its on-demand service and will offer Turner Broadcasting content online and through mobile handsets.
Cartoonito shows programmes such as 'Fireman Sam', 'Care Bears' and 'Hi-5' and will be included in the line-up of channels available to customers on the Virgin Media 'L' or 'XL' TV packages.
Virgin Media will also offer more Turner Broadcasting content on demand and distribute mobile versions of popular shows from Cartoon Network and Boomerang as well as simulcast news from CNN to its subscribers.
Cindy Rose, executive director of digital entertainment at Virgin Media, said the new deal with Turner Broadcasting will provide a huge boost to Virgin Media's three screen strategy as Virgin Media develops innovative new ways for its customers to enjoy content.
Other Turner Broadcasting channels already available on Virgin Media include Cartoon Network, Boomerang and CN Too as well as international news channel CNN and classic film channel TCM (Turner Classic Movies).
