Vince Vaughn proves he's of good stock

It's all about design and digital in today's 18.05. Here are the five things you need to know today.

New coke design

Most read: Coke unveils major re-design

Everyone likes a good strategy overhaul, not least when it’s from a global superbrand like Coke.

In a major shake up of its marketing strategy, Coca-Cola is wrapping all four distinct brands - classic Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero and Coke Life - under one master brand marketing banner: Coca-Cola, in a bid to drive unity across
its portfolio.

From May, brand campaigns for Coke Zero will be scrapped with a view for Diet Coke brand campaigns to also be phased out, allowing for a more unified master brand.

It is also rolling out new, refreshed branding across all four Coke variants to create a more visual "common identity" across the brands, UK marketing chief Bobby Brittain told Marketing magazine. He likened the move to a "rejuvenation" of the brand in the "next chapter" of its evolution.

Blackberry Leap

Most shared: Can Blackberry return to the touchscreen mobile market?

At this week’s Mobile World Congress, Blackberry announced its re-entry into the touchscreen mobile market with its Leap handset.

Gekko’s managing director and regular Wall blogger, Dan Todaro, questions whether the brand – which is shipping six times less phones now than in 2011 – can reignite enthusiasm amongst consumers.

But, he says the brand still deserves some credence: "It continues to dominate in the B2B sector and has suffered fewer embarrassing privacy leaks than some rivals." You can read Todaro’s Wall blog in full here.

Vince Vaughn

Trending: Stock photos starring Vince Vaughn

The unrelenting joy (and PowerPoint misery) we all get from clichéd, stagnant, office-themed stock images just got better (or worse). Now we can have some with Vince Vaughn in. Hurrah!

To promote its new film Unfinished Business, Twentieth Century Fox has partnered with iStock by Getty Images to create a set of parody stock photos featuring Vaughn and co-stars including Dave Franco and Tom Wilkinson.

Here are the first four. There will be eight more available to download in the next three weeks.

Apple Pay

What the others are saying: On Apple Pay’s fraud problem

Much has been discussed about Apple Pay and its related fraud problem since The Guardian reported this week that criminals in the US are using the mobile payment system to buy goods with stolen identities and credit card details.

The Verge writes that the issue has more to do with the banks than with Apple itself, saying there is a loophole in the way some issuing banks verify credit cards before they are added to Apple Pay.

A commentator for Business Insider UK refutes that there has been any Apple Pay fraud, arguing Apple Pay is fraud-proof, and that fraudsters have turned their attention to the next weakest link: credit cards before they're added to an Apple Pay wallet.

Meanwhile, CNBC reports that both parties could do more to protect customers: "While these fraud cases stem from identity theft rather than a hack into the Apple Pay system, it shows that there are still kinks in the service's verification process that both Apple and the banks need to address, security experts said."
