Bartle Bogle Hegarty London is now up against Engine and M&C Saatchi.

VCCP has pulled out of the Audi creative review.

That leaves 37-year incumbent Bartle Bogle Hegarty London up against Engine and M&C Saatchi.

Last week (8 May), VCCP and the other shortlisted agencies test-drove Audi cars in Northamptonshire.

The car marque shortlisted six agencies in total after chemistry meetings in April. Mother and MullenLowe London declined to pitch.

Brothers and Sisters was involved in the chemistry meetings but did not get through to the shortlist stage.

Leo Burnett London, Lucky Generals, Ogilvy, Saatchi & Saatchi London and VMLY&R were also invited to take part at the beginning of the process, but all declined.

Audi called the review in April in what was described as a procurement-led process. The final pitches are set to take place in May or June. However, a decision isn’t expected until January 2020.

VCCP confirmed that it withdrew from the process but declined to provide further comment. Campaign has approached Audi for comment.
