UK marketing director
A new entry to the list, Dreher first appeared on the industry’s power radar when he was promoted to the top UK marketing job at BMW in January. The focused, social-media-shy German marketer was appointed to the role on the back of his wide-ranging experience of the BMW brands. He joined the company in 2001 after a stint at Philip Morris in Munich, and one of his first assignments was the relaunch of the Mini brand. Another pivotal career moment occurred in 2007, when Dreher led BMW’s exit from Formula One sponsorship in light of the group’s commitment to sustainability.
