UBM Live London, organisers of Internet World and The Big Data Show, have announced the two events will be hosted at Excel instead of at Earls Court as part of next year's London Technology Week.

Internet World, which has been running for more than 20 years, and The Big Data Show, which launched this year and is designed to help businesses understand the potential of the data they hold, will be taking place from 17-19 June 2014.

Adrian Newton, group director of transport and technology at UBM Live London, said: "We are really excited to be bringing these events to east London, into the heart of the technology community.

"With a huge focus on east London as the driving force for technology and digital brands in the UK it is important for us to align these shows closer to their core audience."

At Excel, UBM Live hope the shows will benefit from the broader range of visitors attracted to the week-long event.

Newton added: "Industry response to the move has already been hugely positive. Our key exhibitors and partners have been fully supportive of the move and we are already looking at new ways to refresh, innovate and enhance our current offering."

Companies already confirmed to participate at Internet World 2014 include Pure 360, Dotmailer, The Hideout, Kount, Oakley mobile, Emarsys and Sitecore.
