Turkey of the week: Mastercard's campaign leaves a bad taste

Mastercard's campaign to give 10,000 children in Latin America and the Caribbean a meal for every goal scored by Lionel Messi or Neymar Jr at the upcoming World Cup is one of the most ill thought out pieces of work I've ever seen.

To create a game out of starvation is utterly disgusting. This is a football tournament that brands should be embracing with brilliant and creative work, but Mastercard has grossly missed the point.

As many others on Twitter have pointed out already, perhaps Mastercard should spend its millions actually helping those in poverty. This is a clear contender for Turkey of the Year.
