Dermot McPartland joins Cake as its creative director and Asda marketing veteran Rick Bendel leaves parent company Walmart, in this week's roundup of people moves in advertising, marketing, media and PR.


ZenithOptimedia Group has hired Ian Liddicoat, the head of marketing sciences at professional services firm Towers Watson, as its first chief information officer. (Campaign)

Aegis Media has named Phil Teeman, the global media director and head of planning at WPP's Ford agency Blue Hive, as chief executive of China, while KF Lee steps into the new post of chairwoman. (Campaign)

Dermot McPartland has joined Cake as its creative director following the departure of Leroyson Figueira. (Campaign)

Anomaly has poached the Mother creative directors Oli Beale and Alex Holder to be the creative directors in its London office. (Campaign)

Mr President, the EDC-backed digital agency, has appointed Laura Jordan Bambach, a creative director at Dare and the president of D&AD, as a creative partner. (Campaign)

Razorfish has boosted its London office with a trio of appointments, including Anders Plyhm, a founder of the defunct Swedish digital agency Farfar. Rowena Vithlani (née Minhas)  joins from  Bartle Bogle Hegarty  as a client partner, and Josh Newnham, a founder of the mobile marketing agency We Make Play, comes to Razorfish as its first head of mobile in London. Former Asda CMO Rick Bendel has left parent company Walmart, more than 20 years after he first began working on the supermarket's marketing. (Marketing)

Johnson & Johnson has poached Coca-Cola's top marketer in North America, Alison Lewis, to become the pharmaceutical giant's first global chief marketing officer for its consumer business. (Marketing)


Arena's redevelopment continues with the appointment of MEC UK's Beatrice Boue as managing partner this week. At MEC, she was part of the communications planning team for seven years, working with Activia, Evian, Freeview, and Skechers. (Media Week)


Television business NBCUniversal International has appointed Lee Raftery as executive vice-president of marketing and communications. (PR Week)

We Are Social has bolstered its senior team in London with a new operations director, head of technology and senior creative. Lucy Doubleday joins in the newly created role of operations director, from digital production company SpecialMoves. Matt Payne, formerly head of technology at JWT, takes up another  newly created role, as head of creative technology, while Nick Hearne joins as a senior creative from creative and digital agency U-Dox. Former political journalist Eben Black has joined Newgate's public affairs team as a partner after eight years at DLA Piper. (PR Week)

Luther Pendragon has handed former Ketchum chief executive Avril Lee the role of director as it seeks to expand its health offer. (PR Week)
