The House of Rolls Royce launches event and film series
Automotive brand Rolls Royce announced the launch of its event and film series this week, with the aim of further engaging the marque's consumers. The films act as a preview to a series if events that will be revealed in the new year, and the first film is entitled 'The Spirit of Ecstasy'. It premiered on 12 December on the brand's website and details how the brand became the luxury automotive marque it is today. British actress Kate Winslet narrates the film. Rolls Royce advocates will be given the opportunity to watch early views of the next episodes, as well as getting to attend exclusive Rolls-Royce gatherings around the world.
Event releases report on the future of shopper activations
Event has teamed with with Westfield to launch a shopper report which brings together seven essays on the trends that shape this activation area. The essays have been written by experts in the field of shopper activations, and aim to explore the biggest trends and future innovations in this changing area. The report contains insights from brand managers and experiential agencies, as well as case studies highlighting how brands are innovating to reach their target audiences. Branston launches 'Leftovers Day' campaign
Pickle brand Branston has launched a campaign that aims to get consumers to liven up their Christmas leftovers this Boxing Day. The activation kicked off on 1 December, and features a sampling activity which is currently being rolled out across Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol. Over 20,000 shoppers will get to try cheese, crackers and turkey sandwiches accompanied by a range of Branston Chutneys. Guests are encouraged to take pictures and selfies by the van, and recipe cards are being handed out which detail ways in which Boxing Day leftovers can be brought to life.
Bestival announces relocation to Dorset
Annual music festival Bestival has announced that it will be leaving its site at the Isle of Wight, where it has been held since 2004, and will move to Lulworth Estate in Dorset. Festival curator Rob Da Bank has filed for a license to stage Bestival at Lulworth Estate in Dorset, the current home of Bestival's sister festival, Camp Bestival. Da Bank has also stated that there will be new stages and installations for Bestival 2017, which is being held from 7-10 September, and that plans are in place to create a new event on the Isle of Wight.
Starbucks opens interactive coffee bar in Los Angeles
Starbucks has opened a store in the US showcasing the theatre of coffee, inspired by reserve coffee craft. As soon as customers enter the store, they are greeted by a bright, lofty space with a grand chandelier to evoke the historic LA mid-century modern style. Two long coffee bars are the focus of the store, each one built for a different speed - commuters popping in for a quick stop, and others who would like to engage in a conversation about coffee. Starbucks Reserve small-lot coffees are featured and the beverages are crafted with a variety of brewing methods, including Siphon, Clover, Pour Over, Nitro Cold Brew taps and Black Eagle manual espresso.
