"Top Chef" Michael Voltaggio makes a mess for Carl's Jr.

Introduces Steakhouse burger in spot featuring Eagles of Death Metal

Carl’s Jr. is known for its provocatively sexy ads, but if anyone was hoping to see celebrity chef Michael Voltaggio in a sultry sequence in this ad for Carl’s Jr. will surely be disappointed. Instead, viewers are treated to rock-and-roll-fueled destruction, when the tattooed owner of Los Angeles restaurant ink. and 2009 winner of Bravo’s "Top Chef" upsets a pristine steakhouse setting. Classical music flips to "Don’t Speak (I Came to Make A Bang) from Eagles of Death Metal" as he dramatically clears the table to introduce the Steakhouse Thickburger. Voltaggio isn’t the first "Top Chef" personality to star in a Carl’s Jr. ad.  Host and former model Padma Lakshmi spiced things up in a 2009 ad for the chain.
