The coffee chain, which has already introduced the concept to 30 stores in the US, is introducing Starbucks Evenings to Stansted airport before rolling out to other stores nationwide.
The stores will offer shareable hot and cold snacks alongside "premium" wines and beers. The food menu included chorizo and prawn skewers with chilli ketchup, truffle mac & cheese and braised British beef.
Alcohol will be served from 4pm in a bid to encourage customers to visit Starbucks in the evenings.
The concept has already been introduced to Starbucks stores in Seattle, Portland, Southern California, Chicago and Atlanta. In the US the menu comprises Parmesan Crusted Chicken Skewers, Bacon-Wrapped Dates with Balsamic Glaze and Truffle Popcorn.
"Providing a welcoming coffeehouse environment has always been our focus and now we can offer something new for the evening too," said Ian Cranna, vp marketing and category for Starbucks EMEA.
"Customers will love the new range of food and carefully selected wines and beers, which will provide even more choice and reasons to visit us."
Simon Smith, CEO, UK and Ireland for retail partner SSP UK said: "Starbucks is a brand that is synonymous with great coffee and introducing this programme will tempt our coffee lovers to experience a new range of delicious foods and carefully selected alcoholic beverages in our newly renovated store."
There are no plans to offer spirits as part of Starbucks Evenings Programme. Regular Starbucks food and drink favourites will continue to be made available throughout the evening. All wine and beer will be served for in-store consumption only.
