Sprite encourages people to never stop dreaming

The spot, created by Wieden + Kennedy New York, embodies the spirit of Langston Hughes' poem 'Dreams.'

Every creator starts with a dream. Sprite’s spot, "Dreams," follows the process of three young Black creators working on projects during quarantine. A singer writes lyrics, a rapper creates music in his bedroom, a dancer choreographs new moves and a fashion designer sews her latest creation — all with a refreshing Sprite by their sides.

In the background, a narrator recites Langston Hughes’ famous poem, "Dreams." "Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly," the voice-over says. "Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow." The spot is part of Sprite’s "Thirst for Yours" campaign, which aims to amplify Black voices and aid young creators.
