Snapchat rolls out feature to allow users to save images

The Memories feature lets them integrate photos into new stories, edit them and send snaps

Snapchat is giving users a way to save their favorites snaps and stories on the platform.

The Memories function allows people easily to find their images; they can make new stories, edit them and send snaps from them.

It is the first time the photo-sharing app has launched such a feature. Previously users had to screenshot the image if they wanted to save it.

The tab sits below the camera screen, and people need to swipe up from the camera option to open Memories.

Repeated snaps or stories will appear with a frame around them to show others that it is an older post.

A My Eyes Only feature allows people to put a password on images meant for them only.

The new features are being rolled out now.
