Snapchat is allowing brands to run more ads between photos and videos people have shared with their friends.

The social media platform revealed its Stories ad format in June when Procter & Gamble, Warner Bros and Verizon became the first brands to use it.

Research by Adweek shows that the number of ads between the Stories feature has been increasing since then but capped at three.

However, the testing found that all users are served the same number of ads no matter how much they use the platform.
