Climate change threatens to turn the island of Kiribati in the Pacific ocean into a modern-day Atlantis by 2040.
Journalist couple Anna Therese Day and Gianluca Panella use Skype to cover the story of a remote part of the world with global consequences.
"Being able to instantly share information, images, files — even what's happening right in front of our eyes" says Day, "it means you can get to the heart of the story quickly."
The couple uses Skype to coordinate their survey of the island, record their surroundings and collaborate with people on the mainland. While the journalists use a multitide of technology to get their story such as a DSLR camera and tablet, Skype is an integral part of collaborating to bring the story of Kiribati to other shores.
