Skoda launches global content strategy pitch

Skoda: social media task
Skoda: social media task

Skoda, the Volkswagen-owned car-maker, is searching for an agency to create a global content strategy.

The process is understood to be in the early stages and is being run in-house from the company’s Prague headquarters. The brief is thought to include social media work including strategy, content and social CRM, social campaigns and community management.

Earlier this month, Skoda put its CRM account out to pitch. The brand has worked with AIS London for the past 14 years. MediaCom handles media planning and buying.

Skoda named Fallon as its lead creative agency across Europe in May last year.

Fallon previously only handled Skoda’s UK advertising. It won the European business after a pitch against Leagas Delaney’s Prague office and 18 Feet & Rising.

18 Feet & Rising was added to VW’s roster after the contest and was later asked to create a digital campaign to support the launch of Skoda’s Fabia model.
