The Singapore Tourism Board is celebrating 50 years of independence celebrations with a number of immersive partner events in east London throughout June.

Three experiences will take place, including a partner event with immersive dining company The Gingerline. Taking place from 19 May – 20 June, the Singapore Tourism Board has hinted that the group’s new series, The Secret Island, has been inspired by Singapore.

On 25-28 June, popular Singaporean brands will take to the stage at Rough Trade East at a series of lunchtime concerts. During each session there will be the opportunity to sample the country’s cuisine.

Finally, The Brick Lane Gallery will host art show Ex Parte on 17-21 June. The event has been designed to showcase work from artists who have travelled from their homeland of Singapore to other destinations, using art as a platform to examine the perspectives, connections and conflicts between the two places.

The tourism board has partnered with Singapore: Inside Out, an international creative showcase, to forge partnerships around Brick Lane in London’s east end. Singaporean artists, designers and creative’s will showcase work inspired by their country’s past, present and future.
