Shuttlecock said the event had been postponed until May 2015 as it is currently in talks with the British Academy of Film and Arts (Bafta), with plans to tie the immersive event with Bafta's awards season next year. This includes the organisation's film awards at the end of February and television awards at the end of May.
Due to take place at the end of October at a secret location, The XIV Annual Cuillere en Bois Film Awards aimed to give 150 ticket-holders the full showbusiness treatment. The experience was set to include walking up the red carpet, rubbing shoulders with cast and crew over champagne and cocktails and tucking into a three-course meal as the house lights go down and the projector whirs into action.
Guests were also set to receive complimentary champagne on arrival, a carefully curated line-up of shorts from talented UK film makers and an after-show party following the screening.
Tickets for the October event have not yet been released and Shuttlecock Inc will launch a website and ticketing link nearer the time of the event next year.
