The Spanish Lottery is behind a 20-minute short film about a visitor from another world who meets Daniel, a tour guide from Madrid.
Directed by Academy award-winner Alejandro Amenábar, who has made films including The Others and The Sea Inside, "Danielle" is a fantastical love story in which a lottery number forever binds two together and marks their destiny. It examines the true meaning of luck and shows the best part of a Spanish Christmas lottery is sharing with your loved ones.
This year, as part of the Spanish Lottery’s campaign, Spaniards will be able to create connections with other unknown lotto players. Numbers uploaded to danielleydaniel.com will be represented as stars and there will be constellations with people who share part of the same number. The film was written by Jorge Castro and Federico Botella and art directed by Javier Lopez Canle, Sergio García and Juan Frias at Leo Burnett Iberia.
