Team cycling race, the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) V Series, will return to the streets of London's Canary Wharf for a second outing this September.

The free-to-watch event will see twenty corporate teams swap their business suits for lycra to race against each other and the clock on a 1km closed-road circuit from 6.30pm on 15 September.

The race will take the form of an Italian pursuit for eight riders over four kilometres, with the lead rider peeling off every 500m, leaving the final four riders to race the final 2km. Two teams will compete head-to-head, with the fastest four teams qualifying through to the finals – the winning team taking their glory on the evening.

Last year's event saw RBC’s "Royal Bikers of Canada" race to victory against teams from the likes of J.P. Morgan, Sky and Thomson Reuters.

Canary Wharf's Montgomery Square has been offering city workers a taste of the Algarve this summer with a pop-up bar from Pine Cliffs Beach Club.

Aston Martin Racing and property developer Mount Anvil announced their new partnership by lifting a racing car to the roof of a Canary Wharf sky scraper in April.
