River Street Events has launched the BBC Good Food Bakes & Cakes Show, an event exclusively focused on baking.

Taking place from 25 to 27 October at the Business Design Centre in Islington, the show has been developed in response to the nation's passion for baking, with 41 million Brits saying they enjoy baking at home, according to River Street Events.

The event has been tailored as a spin-off from BBC Good Food Bakes & Cakes, a bi-annual publication produced by BBC Worldwide.

Bakery enthusiasts will be able to watch and learn from Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry, the judges on BBC Two's The Great British Bake Off, as well as other baking experts cooking live at the event.

Laura Biggs, managing director at River Street Events, said: "Baking is a huge trend at the moment, it is a natural progression for us to develop key spin-off shows from the BBC Good Food Show family - especially with the backing of the Bakes & Cakes title."

This is the seventh BBC Good Food live event in River Street Events’ annual portfolio, following two launches in 2014 including the BBC Good Food Festival.
