Recommendation Engine: Idea Farmer's Jessica Zeller

You can catch this foodie drooling over the latest food trends on Instagram and watching Tasty videos on an endless loop.

The Recommendation Engine is Campaign US' weekly feature in which we learn about the media young people in the ad industry are currently consuming. This week, we get to know Jessica Zeller, senior director of social media and content at Los Angeles-based creative agency Idea Farmer.

What I’m watching
I competed in culinary arts competitions (yes, there is such a thing) in high school and remain a diehard foodie, so anything food related has a shot with me. I’m currently watching endless loops of Tasty Videos on Facebook and obsessed with "Chef’s Table," Season 3 on Netflix. I loved the Nancy Silverton episode. I grew up in L.A. and have been eating at her restaurants since I was a kid. It was amazing to see her talk more about her work. I also just finished watching "Iron Chef Gauntlet" and am eagerly awaiting the next "Iron Chef" season.

Live sports is another passion. I’m a huge Lakers fan. Really huge. I went to about 80 percent of their home games this year.

I love Netflix, but a lot of what I watch is actually on good old-fashioned, linear TV. "Modern Family" and "Friends" are my TV comfort food. I’m a pop culture junkie, so I’m also a huge fan of "Watch What Happens Live." Instagram is my go-to for all things fashion and beauty (and food as well).

What I’m listening to
Spotify, Spotify, Spotify. From "Underground Hits" to "Throwback Covers," "Acoustic Summer" to "Weekly Buzz," I’m all about the playlists. My favorite individual artists include Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Flume, Odesza and Rihanna. If I’m at my desk, I’m listening on headphones through my laptop. Or, if my colleagues are lucky, blasting it through the office. Everywhere else, it’s off my iPhone.

I’m also a big live music fan. I’ve been to the last five Coachellas, and if there’s someone I like coming through LA, I try to go. I’ve seen Adele twice in the past year. Other recent concerts have been to are Beyonce, Jay-Z and Kanye West.

What I’m reading
I admit it, I’m a horoscope-checker. It’s one of the first things I look up in the morning in the L.A. Times—I’m one of a dying breed that still gets home delivery of the actual paper. If I have a choice, I prefer to do my reading off the printed page.

BuzzFeed and US Weekly are where I get my pop culture fix. Ever since I read "Naked" in high school, I’ve been a huge David Sedaris fan. He has a new book out, "Theft by Finding: Diaries (1977-2002)," which I’ve just bought. I love his odd sense of humor, and his storytelling is endearing.

Finally, when I’m not laughing out loud at the constant comedy that is the world of Instagram comments, I’m keeping up with news and trends on my Facebook feed.

Who I’m following
I’m a sucker for food and beauty influencers on Instagram and Instagram Explore. My Sweat Life, Mary Lauren and Spoon, Fork, Bacon are a few of my favorites. I’m currently obsessing over Marianna Hewitt, who is traveling France, eating croissants and drinking rosé—my dream vacation.

What I’m ignoring
Guy rompers.
