What I'm watching
Oh man, I'm a TV junkie. Netflix everything! Just finished binging the new season of "Narcos" (shout out Judy Moncada). Waiting for new "Bloodline" and "House of Cards." I have yet to cut cable—I don't think I ever will. "Insecure" and "Westworld" on HBO are both excellent—I never miss an episode of "Oprah's Super Soul Sunday" on OWN. "Greenleaf" and "Queen Sugar" are amazing. On network, "Quantico." Guilty pleasure? "Married at First Sight." I could go on ...
What I'm listening to
I love to multitask, so podcasts are my go-to media consumption since you can listen and do something else at the same time. While running, grocery shopping, commuting or doing dishes "Call Your Girlfriend" is essential. I'm a comedy writer so I love "Scriptnotes" and "The Writer's Panel," and I love talking spirituality and philosophy so "On Being" is another go-to.
What I'm reading
My favorite recent read is "Big Magic" by Elizabeth Gilbert and I just finished "Between The World and Me" by Ta-Nehisi Coates. Next up is Shonda Rhimes' "Year of Yes." I love my Kindle but I've recently gotten into buying physical books to pass on to friends when I'm done. I actually bought the last two books at the airport, which is telling of the only time I have time to read!
Who I'm following
I'm a mom of two under 2, so I follow a lot of mom blogs with advice on staying sane. "Cricket's Circle" saved me a lot of time and energy. I'm a bigger Twitter and Instagram user, but I feel like Facebook is making a comeback as of late.
What I'm ignoring
Honestly, not a whole lot of anything. Some people want the political season to end, but I love every second of it. I'm a journalist by nature—so I can't consume enough media.
