RBS targets business customers with new campaign

LONDON - Royal Bank of Scotland is rolling out a business-to-business campaign attempting to show how it is helping customers through the recession.

The ads, for RBS' corporate banking division, will feature case studies of businesses which have secured financing from the state-owned bank, according to reports.

RBS chief executive Stephen Hester has sent a letter to the bank's business customers, claiming that it is accepting up to 85% of credit applications and insisting RBS is ‘open for business'.

Last week, RBS appointed Publicis to its £5m recruitment advertising account, following a pitch against recruitment specialist TMP, Tequila and JWT's recruitment arm.
