The Public Reacts: driverless cars

Self-driving vehicles are racing to a road near you with astonishing speed, in a shift that could see a complete switch-up in the automotive marketplace. Marketing took to the streets to gauge the public's reaction.

Splitting opinion, some members of the public welcomed the idea of a driverless car, while others struggled to imagine the fairly alien concept.

Not only will the introduction of driverless vehicles change our relationship with transportation forever, it could also mean big changes for traditional car brands. They are on the brink of a branding opportunity which could make or break their smooth transition into a new era of transportation.

Some members of the public see the challenge for car brands as a good thing, saying that it will encourage them to innovate and embrace the consumer’s changing needs.
