Pitch update: Sony, British Gas, 21st Century Fox, Sky Mobile

Sony: four agencies on the shortlist
Sony: four agencies on the shortlist

Advertising agencies pitched last week to Sony for the chance to launch its new Bravia TV model across Europe.

Abbott Mead Vickers BDDO, Grey London, Mother and MullenLowe London are in the running and are now waiting to hear.

Spare a thought for media agency executives still waiting to hear back after pitching for prospective clients several months ago. British Gas, which kicked off its review in March, is yet to decide between incumbent Carat and MediaCom.

But if you thought that was a long time, 21st Century Fox has still not appointed a European media agency after launching a global review in May 2015. The nine-year incumbent is Carat’s sister agency Vizeum.

Adam & Eve/DDB has landed Sky Mobile’s digital and social accounts after a pitch involving Dare, FCB Inferno, SapientNitro and WCRS. Advertising will be handled by Sky roster agency WCRS. Sky announced plans for a mobile network last year and it should launch by the end of 2016.
