Canary Wharf opens Pine Cliffs Beach Club with vibes of Portugal

Canary Wharf's Montgomery Square is offering city workers a taste of the Algarve, with a pop-up bar from Pine Cliffs Beach Club.

The bar has been designed to bring the vibes of Portugal’s Pine Cliffs, a Luxury Collection Resort, to the capital. It will open each weekday from 11am to 11pm throughout the summer season until September.

It is being run in partnership with travel specialist Quintessentially Travel and celebrates the re-opening of the cliff-top retreat following a multi-million pound transformation of its rooms and facilities, including the debut of a state-of-the-art destination spa.

The al-fresco Pine Cliffs Beach Club offers a wide selection of chilled drinks including Portuguese wines, Pine Cliffs Resort’s signature white port cocktails, Moet Ice and Sagres beer.

Customers also have the chance to win a seven-night stay for two at Pine Cliffs Hotel with flights.

London's Canary Wharf is popular for brand activations. In April, a crane was used to lift the 2016 Aston Martin race car – a V8 Vantage GTE Challenger – 300 feet, to reach the top of Mount Anvil Dollar Bay building at London’s Canary Wharf.

In June, Asahi, the Japanese lager brand, showcased its slow-mo photo booth at Cabot Place in the Canary Wharf Shopping Centre.
