The Concerto Group has just made three new appointments. Alex Dingwall will join as central sales and venues director, while Nicci Gisby and Carly Mitchell have re-joined the business following stints elsewhere.
Caitlin Ryan has been appointed as executive creative director at Cheil London. She was previously group executive creative director at Karmarama, where she has been for the past three years.
Simon Mitchell has left The Concerto Group, to become managing director of street food membership organisation Kerb. He is looking to take the business to the next level and make it a more commercial operation.
Mark Spragg has been appointed as the new managing director of TBA, leaving his role as senior vice president, director of operations at Jack Morton Worldwide to join the agency on 1 February. Guy Horner, who has held the title of MD at TBA for the past 15 years, will step into the role of executive chairman.
Sarah Mayo has left her position at TRO to join FreemanXP in the newly-created role of marketing director EMEA. Mayo left her position as brand and business development director at TRO in December.
Jack Morton has appointed Vijay Patel to the role of vice-president, director of social media and interactive. He joins from content agency VCCP Kin, and has previously worked at Beattie McGuiness Bungay.
Doug Richter has been named managing director, global partnerships of Time Inc.-owned global brand communications agency Invnt. He was previously director of partnership marketing at Karlitz & Company.
Just before Christmas George P Johnson’s Gareth Dimelow announced he had departed the agency to set up his own communications consultancy. His new venture - Liftd - launches this month and will specialise in helping companies understand the concept and importance of storytelling.
Simon Moriarty is to join Brandfuel on 18 January, when he joins as creative director. He has been working as an independent brand and creative consultant since October, with 15-plus years’ previous experience at Fitch.
In December global brand experience agency Freeman announced the appointment of three new directors to its EMEA team. Tez Patel joins as creative director, Jackie Brown as client solutions director and Greg Cherry as business development director.
Matthew Weiner is the latest recruit at The Moment, joining as senior strategist. He previously worked at digital agency Dare, where he worked with the likes of Barclays, BMW and Nike Football on content strategies.
