Not On The High Street positioned two Twitter-powered gift vending machines within London's Waterloo and Paddington stations on 'Man Dash Monday' (21 December).

The Gift-O-Matic machines dispensed free products to individuals who stopped off to tweet @notonthehighstreet with their location, and a hashtag that corresponded to a particular personality type from a selection on display. Options included #Gardener, #Foodie and #PetLover.

Participants then received a relevant gift from one of the 5,000 small businesses that the brand stocks on its website, including grow your own coffee plants, glittery bow ties and woollen mittens.

The activity sought to offer those yet to complete their Christmas shopping with a thoughtful and unique gift for a loved one.

Not On The High Street has been quite active over the festive period. At the end of last month it announced its plans to embark on a nationwide Christmas tree tour, which offered an alternative to Black Friday with a concept known as Colour Saturday

The tour concluded at London's Old Spitafields Market where the interactive, five-metre high Christmas tree was put on show.
