Concerto Live organised the UK Fashion & Textiles Association's (UKFT) annual awards ceremony, which took place at One Mayfair last night (23 May).

The black tie event brought together industry leaders, brands, retailers, and celebrities including Victoria Pendleton, Erin O’Connor and James Caan to celebrate the creativity, leadership and innovation of the UK fashion and textiles industry.

In previous years, the event has been run as a small lunchtime affair. Last night saw the re-launch of the awards as a glamorous awards evening for the UKFT to establish it as a new date on the fashion calendar.

Concerto Live was tasked with the event design, management and production for the awards, and Concerto partner Create Food & Party Design was responsible for the catering. Full Circle was in charge of the AV and artist management for the evening, while Lola Events provided staffing.

The evening started with a champagne reception with canapés, followed by a three-course meal inlcuding a wild mushroom risotto soufflé with truffle oil and baby chard, and roasted rump of lamb rolled with baby spinach butter, with black garlic potato gratin, baby carrots, sautéed leeks with spinach and truffle cream sauce.

Dessert included a set English cream with nectarine oat crumble ice cream, nectarine puree, strawberry crisps and dried hibiscus flowers.

Throughout the night a silent auction took place in a bid to raise funds for children’s charity Save the Children, the chosen charity partner for the UKFT Awards.

TV personality Myleene Klass hosted the evening’s proceedings, and HRH The Princess Royal, president of the UKFT and a patron of Save the Children, presented awards to winners on stage.

A fashion catwalk show took place throughout the evening showcasing the designs of graduate collections from Central Saint Martins, as well as the work of finalists including Tatty Devine, Ted Baker and The Cambridge Satchel Company.

Nadja Swarovski collected the Outstanding Achievement Award for her contribution to the fashion industry.

One Mayfair served drinks after the awards ceremony, and Soho club Movida sponsored an after after show party at its venue on Argyll Street.
