Industry comings and goings include McCann Worldgroup, The One Club, Twitter, PHD, Havas Worldwide and Menacom

McCann Worldgroup today announced the appointment of Sean MacDonald as chief digital officer. MacDonald was managing director, emerging ventures, with Ogilvy. MacDonald will be based in New York and succeeds Mike Parker.

The One Club on Wednesday announced Kevin Swanepoel is the organization’s new CEO. Swanepoel, who had been president of the nonprofit, takes over from Mary Warlick, who has been CEO since 2006.

McCann London has hired Michael Darragh, the head of social media at Ogilvy PR, as a managing partner. Darragh joined last week in the newly-created position and has been tasked with leading the agency's social marketing practice, McCann Live.

Dubai-based Menacom chairman and CEO Joseph Ghossoub has resigned. WPP’s director for the MENA region, Roy Haddad, will oversee the position until a replacement is found. Menacom is the regional parent of ad agencies Y&R, Intermarkets and Partnership, PR outfit Asda’a Burson-Marsteller, media agency MEC, and direct marketing specialist Wunderman.

Bruce Daisley, the UK managing director at Twitter, has been promoted to vice president of Europe.

CIMB Malaysia's director of Internet strategies Karen Thong has taken on the role of head of digital for PHD Hong Kong.

Havas Worldwide has announced the elevation of ECDs Nakul Sharma and Tirtha Ghosh as creative leads of its Gurgaon office near New Dehli.
