Oreo has launched a Halloween campaign across social media channels, posting very short videos of "nomsters" — spooky little creatures created in a dark, mysterious "laboratorium" that looks like a cross between a 1930s Hollywood horror-movie set and a Tim Burton fantasy.
The stop-action videos were created by 360i, and Oreo plans to release one each day in the run-up to Halloween.
The first spot lasts just 11 second and features candy corn magically reanimated as a vampire bat. Oreo is inviting viewers to suggest names for their favorite nomsters.
