Omnicom Group, the owner of the BBDO and OMD networks, has reported UK revenue of $372 million (£239.2 million) during the second quarter of 2015, down 3 per cent year on year.

On an organic basis, however, Omnicom’s UK revenue rose 5.4 per cent. The UK business includes Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO and Adam & Eve/DDB.

The holding company’s worldwide revenue reached $3.8 billion in the second quarter, down 1.7 per cent year on year. Omnicom partly attributed the decrease to the negative impact of foreign exchange rates.

Income before income taxes was $504 million in Q2 2015, down 2 per cent year on year.

For the year to the end of June the UK business reported revenue of $718.6 million, down 0.5 per cent. Worldwide revenue over the same period decreased 1.3 per cent to $7.27 billion year on year.

Income before income taxes in the six months ending 30 June was $847.5 million, down 1.2 per cent year on year.

Across regional markets for the second quarter, North America’s revenue was up 5.9 per cent organically, Europe outside of the UK rose by 3.9 per cent, Asia Pacific was up 7.6 per cent, and Africa and the Middle East increased by 11.9 per cent.

Latin America’s revenue decreased 9.6 per cent on an organic basis.
