The spot by Brownstein pokes fun at other insurance companies' advertising strategies.
Insurance companies like Geico and Progressive are known for their recognizable, character-driven ads, but NJM Insurance Group doesn’t need mascots or jingles to get its message across. The company pokes fun at insurance companies’ common ad tropes in the spot, "No Jingles or Mascots." In the ad, an agency pitches a commercial idea to NJM Insurance clients, including a mythical creature as a mascot, but the company is unimpressed. The agency throws in one last ditch effort by bringing out a man singing a jingle, but the performance falls flat. "No jingles or mascots, just great insurance," the tagline reads.
