A new Hershey's brand spot tells the sweet story of a girl and her dad

Work keeps dad glued to his desk until his daughter cleverly pulls him away to make s'mores

A new commercial for Hershey’s beautifully tells the story of a young girl who comes up with an ingenious way to get her busy father to spend some time with her. Dad is working in his home office, as his daughter unsuccessfully tries to grab his attention. Giving up, she collects all the coins she’s saved and gets a life-size cardboard version of her father printed. And what first seems to be a substitute for a companion is revealed to be a clever solution. She props the cutout in front of her dad’s computer so that it subs for him during a video conference call, while the two make s’mores in the kitchen. The two-minute ad is wonderfully crafted, from the casting and art direction to the musical choice, a gentle piano-backed version of Steve Winwood’s "Higher Love." Created by Arnold, the spot introduces the line, "Hello Happy. Hello Hershey’s."
