Luke Hodson, the founder of youth marketing agency NERDS Collective, has claimed a spot on Forbes magazine's 30 Under 30 Europe 2016 list.

The list constitutes 300 of the top young leaders, creative innovators and entrepreneurs in Europe across 10 distinct sectors.

Hodson, who managed experiential campaigns for the likes of Burger & Lobster and Ellesse in 2015, was named as one of the top 30 young people transforming the future of media.

Forbes praised the 27-year old for his work with big brands such as Converse, Beats by Dre and Heineken, as well as business nouse: he now leads a team of 14 and expects to turn over $2.6m (£1.83m) in 2016.

A total of 5,000 people applied to be on the list, and judges for the media sector included CNN correspondent and anchor Hala Gorani and founder and editor-in-chief of The Memo, Alex Wood.

Hodson told Event: "The Forbes list is something I’ve always had an eye on as a way of keeping track of who’s doing what and the progress amongst my peers. To say I’m honoured and privileged to be on it is an understatement.

"Big up to the team and thanks to everyone who has supported NERDS Collective on our journey so far."

Hodson spoke at Event and C&IT’s Creative Edge summit back in September, on the subject of how relevant the concept of tribes is for marketers and event profs.
