The Content Marketing Association has appointed Matt Adams, the chief executive of Havas Media UK, as its new chairperson. Adams takes over from Andrew Hirsch, chief executive of John Brown Media, who has held the position for the past three years.

The Bartle Bogle Hegarty New York chairman Emma Cookson and ex-Microsoft global chief marketing officer Mich Mathews-Spradlin have joined You & Mr Jones. The company describes itself as a brand-tech group and was set up in June 2015 by the former Havas boss David Jones.

Cookson becomes a partner and Mathews-Spradlin is taking on an independent board director role.

Syl Saller, the chief marketing officer at Diageo, has been appointed Marketing Society president. The current leader Martin Glenn is stepping down after three years in the role. Saller begins her tenure in January 2017.

Publicis Groupe decision to merge SapientNitro and Razorfish to form SapientRazorfish has led to changes in its line-up.

SapientNitro chief executive Alan Wexler will become chief executive at the newly merged company. Current Razorfish chief executive Shannon Denton becomes chief strategy officer.

Chip Register stays as chief executive of Sapient Consulting while also picking up the position of co-CEO of Publicis.Sapient alongside Wexler.

Nigel Vaz will lead both EMEA and APAC at a Publicis.Sapient level, which involves running SapientRazorfish, Sapient Consulting and Digitas LBi across EMEA and APAC

Alan Herrick will take on the chairman role at Publicis.Sapient, which will focus more on strategy and market issues.

Bauer Media has named Nadia Holmes as its new head of digital audio. She will lead the company’s digital audio proposition working across its multi-platform portfolio of brands.

Weber Shandwick has hired Hugh Baillie, the UK chief executive of FullSix and previously a senior figure at ad firms Bartle Bogle Hegarty and Ogilvy & Mather. Baillie will head up the firm's "engagement disciplines" across EMEA as head of client service, engagement disciplines, EMEA. He will report to UK and EMEA chief executive Colin Byrne, and chief digital officer Chris Perry.

Vice Media has appointed Mimi Turner, the former Lad Bible marketing director, as the youth media company's senior vice-president of strategy. Turner will drive innovation and growth across Vice’s UK business and report to Matt O’Mara, managing director of Vice UK.

Maxwell Jasper Brown has been appointed head of sales at location targeting and data specialist Mobsta. He joins from digital brand specialists Collective where he was a group head.

Amaze One, part of the St Ives Group, has hired Mark Laycock as art director. He joins the Manchester office’s team from creative agency Spoken-Image.

Carat has appointed Alison Jones, the marketing director for Woolworths-owned Big W, as chief client officer. She will relocate from Sydney to Carat’s London office and report to chief executive Rick Hirst.

Lilian Sor, head of strategy innovation at Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, has joined Grey London as head of strategy, replacing Matt Tanter who moved on to the role of chief strategy officer in June.

Grey has also appointed Jonny Ng, joint head of strategy at Sunshine, as strategy partner. Ng will lead strategy for the Marks & Spencer account. Strategy director Ruth Chadwick has also been named deputy head of strategy.

UM London has appointed Matt Morgan as managing partner for Digital. He will be tasked with developing new ways of working together under a restructured integrated planning model.

Matt Batchelor is joining the team at Bauer Media, in the newly created role of director of agency relations and trading, Batchelor will work with group commercial director Simon Kilby and the advertising leadership team to drive increased share of revenue across their platforms and build on expanding Bauer’s branded content offering.
