Jon Forsyth, one of the four co-founders of Adam & Eve, has opened a brand strategy and creative communications agency. He has launched Neverland with Simon Massey, founder of brand consultancy The Gild. Forsyth is creative strategy partner, while Massey oversees brand strategy.
Publicis London’s chief strategy officer, Dom Boyd, is departing. Boyd, who joined from Adam & Eve/DDB in 2017, is leaving next month to "pursue other opportunities", the agency said. Nick Farnhill, chief executive of Publicis Worldwide UK, has chosen not to replace Boyd amid plans to make further changes at the agency.
Coca-Cola has promoted Kris Robbens to marketing director across Great Britain and Ireland, replacing Paul Grace, who has been in the role for just five months. Robbens has worked across a number of marketing and brand roles at Coke for 15 years and was most recently brand director for western Europe.
Grace, meanwhile, has been promoted to a newly created commercial and marketing position within the GB division and continues to sit on the GB leadership team.
Vizeum has nabbed Starcom’s Paul Wilson as global chief strategy officer. Wilson will join the Dentsu Aegis Media network on 5 June. He has worked at Starcom since 2005, becoming managing partner, strategy, in 2011 and EMEA director of strategy in 2016.
Ogilvy UK has appointed Shishir Patel as executive creative director, with responsibility for the British Airways account. Most recently, he was at Facebook’s Creative Shop and Studio. At Studio, he was involved in the global "Here together" campaign, tackling issues around privacy, fake news and rebuilding trust. Patel left Facebook at the end of last year and has been working as a freelancer.
Bob Greenberg is joining the board of Whalar, a social influencer "dating service", as vice-chairman. Greenberg knows the start-up well, after Whalar entered the R/GA Ventures programme in 2017. The platform, whose chairman is Sir John Hegarty, is also backed by Snapchat.
Dentsu Aegis Network has appointed Anna Campbell, chief growth officer at Publicis Groupe UK, as global client president. She starts on 3 June and will report to Will Swayne, global president of client solutions. Campbell joined Publicis in November last year, alongside chief operating officer Jo Coombs.
David Beckham has established an independent brand and commercial management operation after his separation from former business partners XIX Entertainment. David Gardner, who remains managing director, is joined by creative director Sara Hemming, a former visual director at Stella McCartney, who will lead all commercial and brand activity including shoots and product creation.
Isabel May, director of communications EMEIA at Burberry, becomes chief marketing officer. She will oversee brand and commercial partner marketing and communications, PR, social and digital platforms, and special projects and partnerships.
M&C Saatchi has promoted Dom Moira and Kieron Roe to creative directors. They were behind Coca-Cola’s "We" campaign for its Premier League sponsorship and the Financial Conduct Authority’s ad featuring the animatronic head of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
PHD Manchester has hired Alex Shucksmith as AV director. She joins from Amplifi UK, where she was associate director.
Artificial intelligence and data-driven agency Artefact UK has appointed Ryo Katsuki as vice-president, data. He joins from Whalr, where he was chief technology officer and co-founder.
VCCP has appointed Tess Hulme as business director and Sophie Gibbons as account director. Hulme joins from Havas Media, where she was client partner, while Gibbons was media group manager at PHD.
M&C Saatchi Performance has promoted Andrew Platt from head of client services to managing partner, performance. He joined the agency in 2015 as group account director.
Pernod Ricard has appointed Lee James, previously global fine wine director, to market activation director at The Gin Hub. He will report to The Gin Hub’s managing director, Louise Ryan.
