What is your favorite app and why?

TikTok. You wouldn’t believe it but the amount of creativity of normal-everyday people is spectacular.

What is your favorite social media trend right now?

Reactions videos and all user-generated content-like memes. Love when people engage with products in a simple, funny way.

What is the coolest way you’ve seen a brand reach Gen Z?

I think Spotify Wrapped is a good way of showing that a nice little cultural idea can reach everyone, including Gen Z.

What’s a trend you wish would stop?

Anything filters and Photoshop.

What do you do for fun?

Fun things. Let me think, I write, play with my dog, watch tons of cheese movies and series and look for new music so I can judge the artist. LOL

What are you working on right now that you’re excited about?

Different small stories that don’t know where they will end up, but having lots of fun with them.

What are some changes you want to make to the ad industry as your career develops?

The mentality of having to kill yourself over an ad campaign and sucking out the fun even on projects that should be fun.

What are your top five tips to marketers hoping to connect to Gen Z?

1. They care ... a lot. So make sure you are doing it for the good of it, not for the ad. 2. They smell bullshit. They are smart and do their research. So you do it, too. 3. If it’s an ad, it doesn’t work.
