The sponsorship is focused on the Festival of Speed, the Goodwood Revival and Goodwood Road and Racing. From 2017, the Festival of Speed will be presented by MasterCard, the first headline sponsor the motoring event has had since it first began 24 years ago.
MasterCard’s sponsorship kicks off at this year’s festival, where cardholders will be offered Priceless Surprises throughout the event, which takes place from today (23 June) until the 26 June.
Exclusive MasterCard digital content will also bring those who can’t be at the festival closer to the action and MasterCard will be the preferred payment partner for the Goodwood Estate, offering cardholder experiences all year round.
Nicola Grant, head of marketing UK&I, MasterCard said: "We’re really excited to be partnering with Goodwood on these two brilliant events. Our sponsorships allow us to engage with cardholders through their interests and passions, so we can give them Priceless possibilities and experiences. The Goodwood audience are hugely passionate, with a love of both the history of motoring and the constant innovation and future possibilities it brings."
Grant added that from 2017 Mastercard will also be bringing its work in technology to sit alongside its sponsorship of events. "We think it’s the perfect place to show some of our innovation in action," she added.
Tracey Greaves, chief commercial officer at Goodwood said: "We are absolutely thrilled MasterCard will become our first ever presenting partner, their innovative approach and commitment to customer experience strike great synergy with our Goodwood values and I very much look forward to working together."
