Up to 15,000 more guests will be able to enjoy this year's Freesports on 4 Freeze (FSO4 Freeze) winter sports and music event, following a decision to increase its capacity from 10,000 to 15,000 per day.

From 30 October to 1 November Battersea Power Station will once again be transformed into an international competition standard snowboarding and freeski venue complete with a 32m snow jump.

Other changes for this year include a themed village, incorporating a ski and snowboard amnesty encouraging guests to utilise their old skis and boards as furniture across the site, and an extended music offering.

The LG London Big Air event, part of the FIS LG Snowboard World Cup, will take place on the Saturday, forming the main competition for snowboarders, while headline act Orbital will perform on the Friday.

The event was sold to Channel 4 and Boomerang in a three-way deal earlier this year.
