Lidl Finland "Believe in Christmas" by Folk Finland

An elf crash-lands into a family's Christmas in this festive ad from Lidl Finland.

A girl finds an injured boy in the snow and sneaks him into her room, feeding him a lavish tea party to rejuvenate him. Through the counting down of a wooden advent calendar, viewers see the boy rebuild his strength as the heroine continues to give him treats from the pantry. Her parents are understandably unimpressed to discover the empty pantry on 24 December. A few carefully placed clues by director Pete Riski raise the question of whether the boy might be imaginary. The ad was written by Axa Fahler at Folk Finland and directed by Riski through Directors Guild Helsinki.
